Congratulation notes from Rev. Alan Au

Happy 35th birthday North Side! I am deeply thankful as I remember God’s faithfulness to this church over the decades. I am thankful that North Side is a people filled with God’s love. It couldn’t have been easy to have a ratty kid, know-it-all young man like me around. I stand as a testimony to the patience and love of my Sunday School teachers, my youth leaders labouring to impress upon me Christ and his gospel, and my peers who spurred one another on to love and good works. I love the church dearly for bringing God’s grace to so many.

I am thankful that North Side has not only been a place to receive but also to give. The opportunities and support in serving together are still so precious to me. Across ages and languages, so many took an interest in ministering to me and with me. Why else would a middle aged auntie, overseas student and an ABC hang out? If not for Jesus and his mission! I am thankful and humbled that I am but one of a whole generation of people which North Side has sown into and nurtured, and that God has grown. 

I pray that our Father would continue to empower this church to reach and raise another generation for our Lord and Saviour!
