We welcomed 2025 with a social in April this year, welcoming Janelle Or onto the ladie’s fellowship committee. Janelle will be helping Hayley with ideas, organisation, and logistics of the fellowship – please pray that we’ll be able to continue fostering a fellowship and safe space for deeper relationships to grow together in our walks with God for the ladies of EM.  

This year’s EQUIP conference was held on Saturday 21 June and we had over 20 ladies attend together in Hall 2 from 10am – 3pm, praise God for such a great turn out and for the men who volunteered to pick up and deliver lunch so that the ladies could focus on the conference. This year’s conference was a continuation of Revelation from last year (chapter 6 – 22), titled “Safely Home”. We were reminded how we are to live in the world now, knowing the victory has been won – to live “alert, but not alarmed” – the world has many distractions nowadays, but we must continue praying and seeking Jesus in all that we do till the very day we are safely home with him. We continued our discussions at EQUIP PLUS on Sunday lunch after service – this is a new activity introduced this year – it was an encouraging time to discuss together deeper on what we learnt or any questions we had from EQUIP the previous day. It was also a chance for those who weren’t able to come to EQUIP to learn from other ladies who went.  

Prayer triplets/groups have also started again in 2025, with many ladies eager to remain in the similar groups as last year to continue developing the relationship and safe space to honestly share life’s ups and downs. Praise God for our second year of prayer groups! Please pray that EM ladies stay disciplined, prioritising meeting up with one another despite busy life and schedules – so that we may share and carry each other’s joys, sorrow, and burdens and continue sharpening one another.  

For the remaining of the year, we have some 2 socials and a workshop planned as we continue our series on “growing together”. 

At the beginning of this year, Men’s Ministry made several changes to its schedule and activities. The leadership team reflected on the activities of last year and identified areas for growth to ensure the men of our congregation are supported and have a place to build Christ-centered brotherhood. 

The key change this year has been a shift from multiple workshops and sessions to a greater focus on prayer triplets. Last year offered a valuable introduction to the ministry, with a variety of sessions and activities that drew many brothers to come, learn, and share their experiences. The leaders are deeply thankful for everyone who participated. 

As the Ministry enters its second year, we recognised that last year’s pace was not sustainable. This was both in terms of leader capacity and the number of other church groups and events. By reducing the number of larger gatherings, the leaders thought to create space for men to invest in smaller yet deeper relationships through prayer triplets. 

Prayer triplets began close to the middle of this year. These small groups of three aim to provide a comfortable and trusted setting for men to share openly, encourage one another, and pray together. We pray that these gatherings will be fruitful, drawing the men closer to each other and to God.

At the leadership level, we began the year by orienting our purpose on what God’s word says about the purpose of ministry. In Colossians 1:28, Paul says his ministry is all about proclaiming the riches of Jesus Christ – he teaches everyone the truths of the gospel so that they may grow to maturity in Him. 

Our vision is for growth groups to be built in such a way that people are taught and discipled into maturity in Christ. The strategy is for our communities to be centred around God’s word so that by studying it and applying it to our lives together, members would be grown as disciple-making disciples. To that end, we sought to teach our members the truths of God by studying the riches in the book of Ezra. Rich in symbolism and references to Israel’s history, we were challenged in our understanding of biblical theology, in reading in context and in distilling robust main ideas. God’s word can be challenging but is always good. 

At the end of Ezra, we are posed with a problem – the re-building of the temple does not solve the deeper heart issue of Israel – the peoples’ recurring rebellion against their God, their guilt before his righteousness.  

In the gospels we meet Jesus – God’s promised Messiah who becomes sin for us, so that his righteousness is imputed to us. For the second half of the year, our groups will be studying God’s work in the expansion of this gospel news in the book of Acts. Pray for us as we take seriously our call to be witnesses of the resurrected Christ.

Annual Report – 09/2024 – 08/2025 

I want to begin our report with a prayer of thanksgiving:  

Father, we praise you for being our great Shepard in our church family over the past year, and over the past 37 years. I am encouraged and humbled by Your faithfulness and providence as I serve in the English ministry team. I pray that You will continue to lead Your church, empowering us with Your love and grace as we seek to honour your name in everything we do. I also pray that You will open doors for us to share the gospel with the wider community, and give us the wisdom to be salt and light in this world. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. 

 “Worship where you serve and serve where you worship” has been the culture that we sought to nurture this past year. Our hope and prayer has been that our brothers and sisters will grow a deeper sense of family within our congregation as we draw each other closer to God. I praise God for His work among us – it has truly a blessing to see brothers and sisters across all age groups step out of their comfort zone to connect, serve, and bond on a deeper level.  

This year, MES has been journeying the Gospel of Matthew, reflecting on its message for the contemporary church. It has been a rich time of rediscovering the core purpose and vision of being His church. Our NSY, growth groups, Ladies’ and Men’s ministry have all strive to live out this vision, becoming places where people can encounter Jesus. The English Ministry Committee has continued to meet, pray, and reflect together – guided by the principle we learnt from “The Vine Project” – seeking God’s wisdom on how we might make adjustments and improvements to help us grow in Christ’s likeness.  

I am personally grateful to God for the opportunity to grow and serve as a pastor – taking on the English congregational pastoral role as well as leading our youth in NSY. God has been faithful in challenging me to depend on Him as I serve. I pray that God will give me wisdom in juggling the two roles I have at hand. I also would like to ask that we continue to pray for a new youth pastor so that we can better minister to our young people and provide the pastoral support our church family needs. 

One highlight of the year was the combine church camp held at Collaroy, where we enjoyed a weekend together with the larger church family. I praise God for the love and care thqat was evident throughout the camp and I am deeply moved by how God is drawing us closer together as one family in Christ.   

I also want to thank God for the opportunity to serve in the CAWF missional conference in Taiwan, alongside fellow pastors in the wider Alliance family. This trip broadened my perspective of ministry and deepened my heart for God’s mission. I pray that He will continue to use us and provide more missional opportunities both locally and globally. 

Finally, I praise God for everyone who has volunteered to serve over the past twelve months, across all areas of ministry. Our church family is unable to grow without people generously and faithfully giving their time and energy to serve. As we enter into a new year as a church family, I continue to pray that God will continue His transforming work in us, and that we will be humble, faithful, and united as one body in Christ.

2024年回顧： 
非常感謝Rev Leo Kwan的牧養, 以及Yiu Man Chan的帶領。約翰團契共有七個小組, 每月一次舉行查經聚會，在信仰的道路上彼此扶持、一起成長。 

團契擧辦及參與了以下活動： 

•新春愛筵, 大家在當中加深認識, 並一起服侍 

• 組長訓練； 

•參與保羅團週會活動； 

•粵語事工,懷舊金曲福音聚會茶點統籌； 

•差傳年會晚餐統籌； 

•郊遊等。 

2025年展望： 

小組將繼續保持每月一次查經聚會。大組活動將與「中成三團」–保羅、約翰及雅歌團契合團；由保羅團負責策劃活動。期望中成團契在信仰及人生道路上互相學習，加深各肢體彼此的認識。 

今年2月15日保羅與約翰團契舉行聯合聚會「共賀新歲，齊享愛筵」。當日聚會的節目有：詩歌敬拜、遊戲、分享及新春愛筵。 

中成三團在8月16日舉辦了讀經日。主題是「耶和華的日子」，由賴旭輝弟兄帶領研讀約珥書，一同學習真理。另將於11月22日一同郊遊，詳情待定。 

求主繼續祝福帶領約翰團契，堅定弟兄姊妹們的信仰，實踐跟隨基督的心，活出信望愛。阿們！

十年感恩 从新出发

感谢神的恩典，带领国语堂走过以往的十年。去年，正值国语堂感恩十周年，我们不但以二月底的第二届“福杯满溢新新春晚会”拉开了感恩庆祝活动的序幕，更以每周三的“佳美脚踪”福音外展，学期间每周五的英文班及周二的英语角，接触服务社区，传扬福音，五月份的感恩月暨多场香港基恩敬拜聚会，七月初的十周年感恩崇拜，九月初的Murray Farm嘉年华福音外展，九月底的感恩踏青之旅，七月到十月每月一次的健康系列讲座，以及十一月底推出的十周年感恩纪念特刊以及感恩视频等活动，数算神的恩典，见证神的作为，并激励弟兄姊妹为主而活，生命更新。踏入新的一年，国语堂于今年二月份举行了同工退修会，与同工们一同寻求神的异象和旨意，逐步明确国语堂未来发展的方向，是重点开展中青年家庭事工，接触并吸引社区中的相应群体，与他们建立联结，向他们传扬福音。与此同时，国语堂在今年四月初，面对Epping West小学崇拜场地租用的机会，也积极把握，更新影音设备，并克服各种困难，不但顺利在该新场地举行崇拜，并协助教会其他堂会在该场地所需的影音设备搬运和设置，成为教会彼此搭配，主内合一的美好见证。今年伊始，国语堂举办了第二期“塑造主生命”门徒培训，弟兄姊妹学习如何跟随基督，作主门徒。一年来，感谢神带领弟兄姊妹们以爱心彼此关顾，搭配服事，使得新场地的崇拜和各项事工得以顺利进行。 

展望未来，求主亲自施恩带领国语堂的各项事工，在新的阶段，从新出发。求主赐下智慧、能力和勇气，带领国语堂的弟兄姊妹寻求从神而来的异象，跟随神的旨意，生命成长、不负使命、深入社区，传扬基督，成为社区的金灯台，以及周边国语同胞的祝福。 

以下是国语事工过去一年的总结： 

主日崇拜 

一年来，国语堂通过信息宣讲、查经团契、集体灵修等方式，鼓励弟兄参与教会崇拜和团契、灵修。此外，还通过「清晨颂歌」，「清晨甘露」，「活水甘泉」等事工开展，鼓励弟兄姊妹渴慕神的话语，学习委身服事。此外，中秋、圣诞、春节等各项外展活动，也吸引了不少慕道朋友参加崇拜。感谢主的恩典，现在，平均参与国语崇拜的人数大约维持在55人左右。 

崇拜场地方面，今年我们获悉教会有机会租用Epping West小学，国语堂同工经过商议，决定搬至该处聚会，后被告知只可租用至七月初。最终国语堂依然充分利用这段时间，使用该学校场地举行崇拜，积累了各方面的经验，也求神继续施恩开路，为国语堂预备合宜的崇拜场地。 

在讲道方面，为配合教会的主题：「更新」和「在变迁中 扎根基督」，国语堂分别以《以弗所书》和《尼希米记》作为讲道和小组查经的内容，从而加深弟兄姊妹对这些书卷的认识和应用，帮助弟兄姊妹学习更加认识上帝的恩典和大能、彼此相爱，生命更新成长！ 

小组团契 

   感谢主的恩典，今年国语堂继续保持马太小组（夫妻），约翰小组（夫妻）、以斯贴小组（姊妹）、雅各小组（长者）、安德烈小组（职青）、彼得小组（弟兄）六个团契小组。并且小组团契聚会逐步开始进入网络与实体结合的模式。 

    今年小组查经的内容都是以讲道系列的《以弗所书》和《尼希米记》为中心。现在，小组出席人数平均为：6人(雅各小组)、8人(马太小组)、8人（约翰小组）、7人（以斯帖小组）、4人(安德烈小组)和5人（彼得小组）。 

    此外，为了帮助参与事奉的同工，明确发展异象，主内同心服事，于今年二月份举行了同工退修会。 

祷告会 

    国语堂的祷告会，在每个主日晚上7:30网上举行。感谢神的感动和带领，越来越多的弟兄姊妹愿意踊跃参加。每次祷告会，弟兄姊妹都会一同为神的恩典（感恩事项）献上感恩，为彼此的身体和心灵需要(神的子民)，为教会和教会所支持的宣教士(神的教会)，为世界和未得之民(神的国度)祷告。弟兄姊妹们在祷告中，彼此守望、彼此鼓励、彼此扶持；现在，参与祷告会的人数平均大约有19人左右。 

探访关顾 

    目前，国语堂已成立由专人负责的迎新关顾小组，负责跟进新人的关顾探访，以及国语堂现有的弟兄姊妹的探访，透过分享交流，了解关心新朋友及弟兄姊妹们生活和属灵上的需要，加深彼此认识，主内建立美好关系，分享经历神的爱，并鼓励他们面对疫情挑战，坚守信仰，活出生命见证。此外，去年国语堂还成立了专门的探访小组，对于面临身心软弱、家庭困境等方面的弟兄姊妹进行探访关顾。感谢主的带领和弟兄姊妹们的爱心，过去一年中，国语堂有不少弟兄姊妹身体软弱、或历经重大手术，在此期间的关心探访，爱心代祷，给予弟兄姊妹很大的温暖、安慰和鼓励，并在一些罹患重病的弟兄姊妹中，透过牧者、探访小组及弟兄姊妹们的探访、关顾、代祷，帮助该弟兄以信心仰望神恩，平安渡过人生的艰难时段。 

福音外展事工 

    一年来，国语堂于每月第一个主日后举行爱宴欢聚，弟兄姊妹及亲友品尝主内“爱的温暖，家的味道”。不但使弟兄姊妹在主内有美好团契，更给予新来的慕道朋友，参与其中，加深彼此认识，宣传基督福音。感谢神的恩典和同工，一年来分别有多名弟兄姊妹接受洗礼。 

    今年2月份国语堂的第三届「福杯满溢新春晚会」吸引了超过百人参加，并由多家宣道会弟兄姊妹组成的联合诗班宣韵诗班献诗。弟兄姊妹不但一同包饺子、贴春联，也在丰富多彩、载歌载舞、精彩纷呈、妙趣横生的节目中，在福音信息分享里，带给大家新春的喜庆，属灵的思考。之后的爱宴欢聚则把活动推向高潮，使前来参加的慕道朋友，感受到在主里浓浓的爱意，满满的祝福。此外，国语堂新开展的佳美脚踪、英文班（英语角）都旨在接触社区，服务社区，分享福音，国语堂还于去年07/09参加Murray Farm小学嘉年华活动，并摆设教会摊档，向社区传扬福音。为了配合国语事工的发展，于今年26/07举行了国语亲子讲座，受到积极良好的反响。国语堂将总结经验，寻求探索家庭事工外展的新途径。 

       此外，国语堂的弟兄姊妹还积极参加Dubbo短宣事工，以及Maitland乡村短宣事工，激励弟兄姊妹肩负福音使命，踏上短宣之路。 

儿童事工培训 

       感谢神的恩典和预备，感动弟兄姊妹投入位于Roselea Public School中的国语堂儿童看顾事工。并带领何茵传道带着异象和负担，义务帮助国语堂儿童事工的培训，并在去年内每两个月举行一次，对参与儿童事工的弟兄姊妹进行培训和装备，为着国语堂未来儿童事工的发展，打下坚实基础。 

十周年感恩活动 

    去年，国语堂举行了一系列的感恩活动，包括：五月份的感恩月暨香港基恩敬拜音乐事工聚会、07/07的十周年感恩崇拜、健康系列讲座、28/09国语堂蓝山植物园感恩踏青之旅，并于11月初推出国语堂十周年感恩纪念特刊及视频。也感恩弟兄姊妹在主里的同心合意，搭配服事。展望未来，求主继续施恩带领国语堂，带着异象和使命，在Epping和Carlingford社区传扬福音，荣耀主名。

感謝神的帶領和保守，2025年對多加姊妹團來說是很特别的一年，團契週會內容有新的改變。 

今年的主題是「活力信望愛」。 

本年度團契週會內容：查經、戶外郊遊、專題講座、手工篇和分組設計活動。 

查經方面，今年選用了明道出版社的士師記，也邀請了劉海林牧師為我們講解導論，讓我們更了解歷史和背景,認識神的愛和看顧。 

六月份有一個專題講座，由劉海林牧師主講：「如何在網上搜尋正確和可靠的聖經網站」；也提醒我們需謹慎分析正確資料， 姊妹們獲益良多。 

願主帶領多加團契每位姊妹，把生命建立在信仰實踐為目標的方向上，學習彼此牧養及互動，以致我們能夠展現神在我們生活中的作為，榮耀主名！
